This extraordinary piece stands out for its textured and eclectic maritime aesthetic: the tapered body, glazed in a richly nuanced apple-green shade, is dotted with recessed medallions in high relief, decorated with elements from the marine world — fish, starfish, shells and coral encrustations, all hand-modelled and hand-painted in shades of pink, blue and ochre.

The sculptural surface and high-relief craftsmanship reflect the great artisanal skill and formal experimentation typical of the mid-20th-century Vietri tradition, making this piece a true work of decorative art.
