The cabinet incorporates five useful drawers, providing considerable organised storage despite the relatively small footprint of the piece. Each drawer retains its original brass handles, introducing an attractive period detail and complementing the warm tones of the mahogany. The drawer fronts are beautifully crossbanded and enhanced with delicate inlaid detailing. This restrained decorative treatment creates subtle contrast against the deeper mahogany while highlighting the refined craftsmanship characteristic of quality Edwardian furniture. Above the principal cabinet is an elegant raised shelf supported by decorative pillars.
