The upper section features a useful single drawer, providing convenient concealed storage for smaller household items. The drawer retains its original handle, preserving the established character of the piece. Below is a generously proportioned open shelf, offering additional space for books, decorative objects or other everyday essentials while giving the cabinet an attractive and functional open appearance. The cabinet stands on elegant tapered legs, creating a refined and well-balanced silhouette while complementing the clean, traditional character of the design. Throughout, the mahogany displays gorgeous natural grain, rich warm colouring and attractive tonal variation. The quality and depth of the timber give the piece considerable warmth and visual appeal. Its particularly versatile proportions are a major advantage. Measuring only 61 cm wide and 34.5 cm deep, the cabinet provides useful storage without occupying excessive floor space. It could serve equally well as a bedside cabinet, lamp table, occasional table or compact storage and display piece within a bedroom, hallway, living room or study. The combination of a practical drawer, useful open shelf, original hardware and elegant tapered supports creates an attractive balance between functionality and traditional design. Presented in good vintage condition, with appropriate signs of age and historic use consistent with its 20th-century origin. A highly desirable small mahogany cabinet combining beautiful natural grain, practical storage, original hardware and elegant proportions within a versatile and timeless design.
