The substantial upper section features a pair of panelled cupboard doors opening to reveal two fixed internal shelves, providing generous storage while maintaining a refined and understated exterior. The lower chest incorporates a practical brushing slide above three generously proportioned drawers. Each drawer retains its original brass handles, providing an attractive contrast against the rich tones of the mahogany and preserving the authentic period character of the piece. Raised upon traditional bracket feet, the cupboard has a strong and beautifully balanced architectural profile. The mahogany displays an attractive natural grain, deep warm colour and rich patina developed with age. Presented in very good antique condition, demonstrating substantial construction and fine craftsmanship. The piece is accompanied by a key. For ease of transportation and installation, the cupboard separates into two sections. An impressive and highly functional example of 18th-century Georgian cabinet furniture, offering considerable storage alongside the decorative presence of richly figured mahogany.
