The cabinet features a single upper drawer providing convenient storage for smaller items, positioned above a single-door cupboard. The cupboard opens to reveal two internal shelves, offering useful concealed storage while maintaining the piece's compact and elegant form. Fine satinwood and ebony cross-banding provides an attractive contrast against the rich mahogany, highlighting the cabinet's architectural lines and demonstrating the quality of the craftsmanship. A raised gallery back adds further decorative interest, while the original brass handles and fittings complement the warm tones of the timber and preserve the cabinet's period character. Raised upon slender tapered legs, the cabinet has a light and sophisticated silhouette. The mahogany displays attractive natural figuring and rich colour throughout, enhanced by the contrasting decorative inlay. Presented in good antique condition, with appropriate signs of age and use consistent with its early 20th-century origin. Its compact proportions make this an exceptionally versatile piece, suitable as a side cabinet, bedside cabinet, hall cabinet or decorative storage piece within both traditional and contemporary interiors.
