Pisani in 1974 , depicting a partially bitten apple from which two shapes emerge, evoking human fingers. The artist thus repurposes an everyday object to create an unusual image, both humorous and slightly unsettling. The apple, made of silver-plated metal, probably silvered bronze , has a deliberately textured surface. Its symbolism—desire, knowledge, temptation—is interwoven here with the world of 1970s pop art and its penchant for repurposing everyday objects. Signed a. Pisani and dated 1974.
