An exceptional antique William IV leather armchair. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1830-1850 period.
The quality is outstanding, this has to be one of the finest examples we have come across. The solid wooden frame is beautifully crafted, with scrolled armrests and carved rosettes at the knees. It stands on turned and fluted baluster legs terminating in brass casters. This is a great size and it is extremely comfortable. It is upholstered in a gorgeous deep buttoned leather which has a beautiful colour tone and patina.
Frame has been polished, the leather has been enhanced and revived. The condition is excellent for its age with only some extremely minor historical wear.
