The vase captivates with its striking, geometric form and expressive, abstract decoration in black, vibrant yellow, red, and delicate shades of pink and violet. Fine white lines and contrasting color fields lend it a lively, almost graphic effect.

The unusual shape and the artful, hand-applied decoration make the vase a characteristic example of French mid-century ceramics. Its sculptural silhouette and harmoniously coordinated color contrasts make it a striking piece even without floral decoration.

Handwritten inscription "Vallauris Décor Main 217" on the base.
