The pendant features a lobed, rectangular shape reminiscent of a traditional Chinese tablet or plaque. The face is decorated with a bright yellow enamel ground, framed by a raised gold-toned border. Two stylized, scrolling dragons—one green and one blue—flank a central pink enamel oval.

The central oval on the front bears the Chinese characters "齋戒" (Zhaijie) in black, which translates to "fasting" or "purification," often used for religious or ceremonial purposes. The reverse side features stylized Sanskrit or Tibetan script. The sides of the pendant are engraved with delicate scrolling vines. The piece is suspended from a yellow silk cord with a black bead at the top and a larger white bead at the bottom.
