Coming from a conventional bourgeois family, he became a key figure in 20th-century decorative art. Groult married fashion designer nicole poiret and collaborated with notable artists like louis süe and marie laurencin. He showcased his work at the 1925 international exhibition of modern decorative and industrial arts, where he designed a women's bedroom in harmonious pink and gray tones, utilizing precious materials like macassar ebony and ivory. His unique approach has left a lasting impact on decorative arts.
