The most captivating feature is its brilliant turquoise-green ground, which serves as a vibrant canvas for the intricate artwork.
The main body is heavily decorated with dynamic, hand-painted scenes of exotic birds (appearing to be pheasants or magpies) perched among lush, colorful flowering branches, including peonies and plum blossoms. The neck and the lower body are beautifully contrasted with a bright imperial yellow ground, featuring intricate lotus scrolls and geometric borders. The entire piece is finished with prominent gilded (gold) lines that accentuate its faceted shape, adding a luxurious, imperial feel and beautiful texture.
