This impressive jar features a classic, full-bodied, rounded shape and is topped with a matching domed lid featuring a traditional blue finial (knob). It is meticulously hand-painted in rich cobalt blue against a crisp white background.
The centerpiece of the design is the prominent Chinese character "囍" (Shuangxi), which translates to "Double Happiness." This is a highly auspicious symbol in Chinese culture, traditionally associated with weddings, joy, and marital bliss. The character is framed by a dense, continuous pattern of scrolling lotus vines and large stylized lotus blooms, which symbolize purity and harmony. The rim and the lid are finished with classic geometric fretwork borders.
