These substantial lamps embody the timeless sophistication of classical design, with their graceful tapered architectural forms, restrained ornamentation, and beautifully balanced proportions. Each obelisk-shaped base is framed in gilt-finished metal, surrounding richly patinated mirrored panels with delicate crackling and mottling that lend depth, character, and an unmistakable sense of age.

The quality of construction is particularly noteworthy. Exceptionally heavy and solidly built, the lamps feature individually mounted metal paw feet, substantial metal framing, and carefully executed architectural detailing. Their impressive weight and craftsmanship distinguish them from lighter contemporary reproductions.

Believed to date to the mid-20th century, approximately the 1940s–1970s, these lamps were acquired from the daughter of their original family owner. Their elegant design recalls the sophisticated Neoclassical and Hollywood Regency interiors associated with Maison Jansen and other distinguished decorative arts houses of the period.

The lamps retain their substantial, beautifully constructed double-layered shades, which complement their architectural silhouettes.

Equally at home in a traditional, transitional, or contemporary interior, these are wonderfully versatile statement pieces. Their combination of antiqued mirror, warm gilt metal, and classical detailing offers an enduring elegance that transcends changing decorative trends. See less
