Beautifully attributed to the historic Venetian furnace of master glassmaker Galliano Ferro, this matching duo is a premier showcase of 1950s/1960s Italian studio craftsmanship.
Expertly blown using the demanding sommerso (submerged) technique, each heavy, organic form features a rich burgundy-rust inner core nested cleanly within a luminous, frosted opaline outer layer. Adding exceptional structural depth is a flawless bullicante pattern, showcasing rows of controlled, perfectly uniform air bubbles trapped within the thick glass walls to capture and refract light beautifully.
Measuring approximately 4” by 3.5”, these sculptural, biomorphic dishes are highly versatile—perfect for use as sophisticated jewelry catchalls, vanity trays, desk organizers, or standalone decorative accents. Finding a true matching pair in this colorway maximizes their market appeal, making this an excellent acquisition for discerning art glass collectors and interior designers alike. See less
