Excellent vintage condition. These pieces feature a striking, natural wood grain finish. The wood is smooth, solid, and holds a beautiful luster. No major cracks, chips, or deep scratches. These are a beautiful matching pair of vintage hand-carved solid teak wood gazelle / antelope figurines, and as such, no two are identical. Gorgeous natural wood grain variations feature a highly stylized, smooth, polished medium-brown finish that beautifully highlights the rich, wavy natural wood grain.

The minimal chiseled texture is the signature look of 1960s Kamba woodcarving---these vintage sculptures perfectly capture the organic, minimalist wildlife art movement.

These are a pair of hand-carved Kamba gazelles / antelopes in standing poses. One of the elegant beast stands by a tiny calf which sits at her feet. They display beautifully side-by-side or stacked for a classic mid-century modern shelf or mantel arrangement. Perfect for collectors of Mid-Century Modern, bohemian, or African folk art decor.
