Elegant round Empire-style side table, crafted from fine wood with exquisite marquetry work on the top and rich gilt bronze embellishments. A piece of great decorative character and refined presence, ideal as a bedside table, coffee table, or entryway table. Designer and brand name unknown.
The circular tabletop features a delicate radial marquetry design in the shape of a cross, framed by a perimeter border and molding with a decorative bronze cord. The quality of the design and the combination of grain patterns lend depth and sophistication to the piece.
