A superb bronze shop display sign. Made from bronze this sign came from the renowned saddlers, sydney ingram, salisbury. C1925
established in 1925 by sydney ingram, a professional saddler, the shop has always traded at its original premises 44 catherine street, salisbury. Sydney ingram came to salisbury from codford after the first world war when demand for making and repairing harnesses declined with the introduction of the tractor.
his son, clifford ingram – a former president of salisbury chamber of commerce – took over the business on his father's retirement. The shop finally closed 2019.
