A bold vintage MCM Brutalist wall sculpture composed of torch-cut brass and copper geometric panels, crafted in the style of Curtis Jeré and Artisan House.
This impressive large-scale piece features an intricate, multi-layered arrangement of rectangular and square copper plates, welded together to create an impressive architectural relief. Each panel has been individually formed and flame-treated, showing rich tonal variations that range from deep amber and oxidized charcoal to warm copper and golden brass.
The openwork framework allows the sculpture to interact beautifully with the wall behind it, casting soft shadow patterns that change throughout the day. Its highly textured surfaces catch and reflect ambient light, adding a dramatic dimensional layer of depth, warmth, and geometry to any interior space. The sculpture can be hung in many different directions.
Unsigned but beautifully constructed, this sculpture epitomizes the bold, expressive metalwork of the 1960s and 1970s. It serves as a commanding focal point, perfectly suited for an over-sofa placement or a feature wall in a mid-century modern, industrial, or contemporary setting.
