The piece features a remarkable composition: a sturdy turtle forms the base, supporting a long, slender stem adorned with a stylized crane. The crane holds up the main censer body, which is shaped like a mountain peak with intricate openwork (pierced) designs to allow smoke to escape.

The surface is richly detailed with archaic geometric patterns and features a beautiful, naturally weathered patina with green verdigris accents, giving it a sense of deep history and character. This substantial and unique piece is a magnificent decorative object for a study, living room, or as a focal point in any collection of Asian antiques and artifacts.
