This distinctive pair of ornate wall sconces was rescued from a Houston residence designed in 1938 by renowned architect Hiram A. Salisbury.
Standing approximately 14 inches tall with an adjustable candelabra height, an elaborate sculptural backplates measuring 7.5 inches wide, the sconces feature intricate scrolling ornamentation, raised decorative details, and a beautiful silver finish. Their substantial weight and richly detailed construction give them a striking presence.
The design evokes the elegance of French Rococo and Baroque Revival decorative arts, making them an appealing choice for a traditional interior, an eclectic residence, or a designer-curated space that celebrates historical character.
