Stunning 1950s/1960s hand-blown Venetian Murano art glass table lamp. Features alternating vertical ribbons of fine white mesh latticino filigree and vibrant pink zanfirico twist canes. The glass column boasts a dramatic double-bulbous silhouette resting on a heavy tiered brass base. A beautiful statement piece of mid-century Italian craftsmanship.
Based on a single bottle-shaped body mounted on a brass base with three applied trim pieces this lamp is highly characteristic of a mid-century luxury import, most likely produced by Fratelli Toso or A.V.E.M. (Arte Vetraria Muranese) during the 1950s. This is the best latticino lamp I’ve ever had the condition is amazing for something 70 years old.
