Sometimes, the most simple designs are the hardest to perfect. At first glance, this live-edge bench appears beautifully minimalistic. In reality, it is a masterclass in complex engineering, historic restoration, and high-end woodworking.

A Story Built Into Every Inch

The foundation of this piece rests on a pair of identical, authentic 1905 DeLaval Cream Separator cast iron bases. Originally adorned with gold leaf at the turn of the 20th century, these industrial relics have been rescued, preserved, and reimagined.
To bridge history with modern luxury, the bases are flawlessly united using a custom, double-stacked Black Walnut stretcher bar system and an intricate, highly technical bronze birdcage hardware assembly.

• The Slab: A massive, 2-inch thick premium Black Walnut live-edge slab boasting rich, swirling grain patterns and striking natural character.
• The Finish: Meticulously sealed with Rubio Monocoat 2C plus, followed by multiple advanced topcoats of N3 Nano. This provides an ultra-durable, water-resistant shield that protects the wood while highlighting its organic warmth.
• The Accents: Fully assembled using substantial 1/2" x 4" solid bronze hardware, offering a subtle, elegant contrast to the deep tones of the walnut and cast iron.
