The tall two-part construction incorporates eight drawers, arranged as two smaller drawers above six larger graduated drawers, providing generous storage while maintaining a balanced and imposing architectural profile. Each drawer is fitted with replacement brass handles that complement the warm tones of the mahogany. The timber displays a particularly attractive natural grain, rich colour and well-developed patina, enhancing the character of this substantial Georgian piece. The chest is raised upon elegant splayed feet, lending a lighter and more graceful appearance to its impressive proportions. Presented in very good antique condition, retaining a solid and substantial construction. The replacement handles are sympathetic to the overall design and period character. For ease of transportation and installation, the chest separates into two sections. An impressive example of 18th-century English Georgian cabinet furniture, combining generous storage with timeless decorative appeal.
