A classic English lion head door knocker in brass, with a full-maned lion set in a beaded oval frame and a hinged ring that swings down to knock. Marked "Made in England" on the back.
The patina has settled into the mane and beading, so the lion's face and the ring's edges catch the light. It gives a front door instant old-house character, and it works just as well on an interior door or a garden gate.
