The architectural body is constructed from a series of substantial geometric glass elements, creating a highly reflective column that captures and refracts light from different angles. A contrasting black circular platform anchors the composition, while chrome-plated detailing adds to its streamlined period character. Above sits an original 1940s hand-moulded opaline milk glass shade with a broad domed profile. When illuminated, the opaque glass produces a soft, evenly diffused glow, contrasting beautifully with the brilliance of the faceted transparent glass below. The combination of glass, chrome and black detailing gives the lamp an elegant art deco and hollywood regency character, making it particularly effective on a console, sideboard, bedside table or within a sophisticated contemporary interior. The lamp retains its vintage chrome-plated b22 bayonet bulb holder and 1950s dimmer/on-off switch. It has been professionally rewired with three-core cable, earthed and tested.
