The body is built from flat, glossy rattan strips worked in a hexagonal, star-like open weave that alternates with bold horizontal bands, creating a rhythmic, almost architectural lattice. Small triangular openings between the strands allow light to pass through and cast delicate shadows. A slim wrapped hoop reinforces the base, while the rim is finished with a neat, curving edge of bound cane. The rattan has matured into a warm, honeyed patina, ranging from golden wheat to deeper amber and cinnamon where the strands overlap, with natural variations, small darker flecks, and subtle surface texture adding organic depth. Substantial yet airy, the form reads as both a handcrafted vessel and a sculptural accent, with a quiet, sun-warmed character.

Place this basket on the floor beside a sofa, fireplace, or entry to hold throws, firewood, or magazines, or use it as a generous planter cachepot for a fiddle-leaf fig or palm in a sunroom or bedroom. It complements Boho, Coastal, Organic Modern, Rustic, and Japandi interiors. To care for it, dust with a soft brush or vacuum with a brush attachment, wipe with a barely damp cloth, and allow it to dry fully; keep it away from direct sunlight, radiators, and damp conditions to protect the natural fibers. The basket measures 20 inches (508 mm) wide, 20 inches (508 mm) deep, and 18.25 inches (464 mm) high. Condition is very good, with a warm natural patina, minor wear, and slight discoloration, and the structure remains sound. Add this versatile, sculptural piece to your home today. See less
