A beautiful antique French porcelain cabinet plate produced by Coronet Limoges between 1906 and 1920. This exquisite piece features a vibrant, hand-painted romantic portrait of a troubadour or cavalier musician dressed in elaborate period attire, seated on a barrel while playing a guitar. The central vignette is framed by a rich, multi-toned green and ochre background. The plate is finished with an elegant, organically shaped scalloped rim accentuated with fine gold-gilt trim. It serves as a striking decorative charger or cabinet piece, perfectly embodying the craftsmanship of early 20th-century European art porcelain imported to the United States.

There are no chips, cracks, hairline fractures, or professional repairs anywhere on the piece. The hand-painted artwork remains remarkably bright, crisp, and beautifully preserved. It shows only minor, age-appropriate surface wear and light fading to the gold leaf trim along the scalloped edge, which is perfectly consistent with a piece of this age. Please see the photos for a detailed look at the fine details and overall preservation. less
