An elegant and exceptionally versatile early-20th-century bedroom suite comprising two petite marble-top commodes and a removable three-panel vanity mirror assembly. The commodes can be used together as a dressing table or separated as a matched pair of nightstands or side tables. Warm figured veneers, fine geometric inlay, gilt-metal mounts, ring pulls and tapered feet give the pieces a refined French-inspired appearance.
Each commode provides four drawers of practical storage. Their unusually narrow proportions make the pair especially useful beside a bed where full-size nightstands would feel crowded.
Each commode measures approximately 15.75 W x 15.75 D x 32.5 H inches. Assembled vanity measures approximately 54 W x 16.5 D x 72 H inches. Good vintage condition. Some scuffs and localized losses to the decorative inlay are present, as disclosed in the photographs.
