Each place setting has nine pieces: a dinner fork, dinner knife and dinner spoon, a dessert fork, dessert knife and dessert spoon, a fish fork and fish knife, and a teaspoon.

Delafosse is a neoclassical pattern in the Louis XVI taste, with rosettes, laurel garlands and acanthus foliage on a fluted handle. Christofle introduced it in 1907, drawing on the designs of the 18th-century French ornamentist Jean-Charles Delafosse, whose rosettes and plant garlands influenced the taste for simpler decoration under Louis XVI. Christofle also notes that the Hôtel Meurice in Paris chose the pattern for its tables.

This flatware dates from approximately the 1930s to the 1950s. The dinner and dessert knives have stainless steel blades stamped CHRISTOFLE.

Condition: Very good vintage condition, lovingly used, with light surface marks typical of estate silver. The plating is bright and the pattern details remain crisp. Please see the photos, and contact us for additional photographs or condition details. See less
