Elevate your collection with this magnificent studio art glass botanical vase by renowned American glass artist Tommie Rush (born 1954). Famed for her intricate, plant-inspired designs, Rush masterfully brings organic flora to life through hot-worked, hand-blown glass techniques.
This striking piece features an elongated, trumpet-shaped body in a deeply saturated cobalt blue. Two translucent, succulent-green glass leaves and an elegant stem are expertly applied to the neck while hot. The vase anchors into an organic, heavily lobed or ruffled pedestal base in a matching verdant green hue.
The entire exterior has been precision sandblasted to achieve a soft, frosted matte finish that diffuses light beautifully, mimicking the velvety texture of real plant life. The underside of the base retains a polished pontil mark and is hand-etched with the artist’s signature script "T Rush".
