A magnificent Mid-Century Modern Italian cased art glass vase attributed to Fratelli Toso, crafted in Murano, Italy. Standing at an impressive 13.75 inches tall, this striking piece showcases the complex Fenicio (pulled feather / combed) technique, expertly executed in a dramatic, high-contrast palette of blazing ruby-amber and deep obsidian black.
Design & Artistry
• Technique: The vase features layered combed feathering encased in thick, crystal-clear glass. The fluid vertical pattern catches and refracts light dynamically, creating rich movement and depth from every angle.
• Color Palette: A fiery blend of fiery amber, translucent ruby red, and intense dark violet-black.
• Presence & Scale: At nearly 14 inches in height, this vase makes a commanding standalone centerpiece, accent column piece, or focal point for entryways, mantels, and credenzas.
• Finish & Details: Ground and polished base with a smooth pontil, characteristic of fine Murano craftsmanship.
