Mid-Century Newport Sterling Cut Glass / Crystal "Quaker Hurricane" Shakers Pair
Excellent vintage condition with light, age-appropriate patina to the sterling silver bases that beautifully highlights the reeded detailing. The etched clear cut crystal/glass bodies are free of chips, cracks, or clouding. Vintage original condition unaltered, some imperfections, which is standard for anything with age patina. (Note: Silver can be polished to a bright shine upon request, or left with its original vintage character).
This is an elegant pair of vintage 1930s–1950s "Quaker Hurricane" salt and pepper shakers. Crafted by the renowned Newport Sterling company, this authentic matching set seamlessly blends traditional American Colonial Revival silhouettes with timeless Art Deco precious metal artistry.
Each shaker features a gracefully curved, crystal-clear glass body adorned with a beautifully hand-etched leaf and feather motif, styled like a classic miniature hurricane lamp. The glass globes sit securely atop heavy, stepped circular bases.
The undersides are fully and crisply stamped with official hallmarks confirming their historical provenance: "Quaker Hurricane, 703, Weighted, Trade Mark Reg., Newport Sterling." Height: 2.5"; Base Diameter: 1.5".
