Each plate presents a different sporting scene rendered in a cross-stitch effect, giving the ceramic decoration the charming appearance of a traditional embroidered sampler.

The softly squared silhouettes, scalloped edges, raised botanical detailing, and green and pink floral accents create a beautifully coordinated collection. The combination of sporting imagery and delicate ornament makes these plates equally appealing for an English country house setting, a traditional dining room, or an eclectic plate wall.

The photographed backstamp reads Mason’s, “Sampler Pattern,” and “Patent No.” confirming the maker and pattern name.

Display the six together as a collected wall arrangement, style them in a Welsh dresser or china cabinet, or incorporate them into a sporting-themed study. Their cream ground and colorful figural designs complement English cottage, traditional, and grandmillennial interiors. See less
