Finished predominantly in black with contrasting lining, numbered cab sides and finely detailed running gear, the model displays the characteristic proportions of the celebrated british express passenger locomotive. Manufactured by bassett-lowke, one of britain's most important historic model railway manufacturers, this substantial locomotive is designed for o gauge operation and is fitted for 12-volt dc electric running. Details include spoked driving wheels, connecting rods, buffers, boiler fittings and a traditionally formed cab. An appealing piece of british model railway history with considerable decorative presence, equally suited to an established o gauge collection or display alongside other historic transport and railway memorabilia. The locomotive shows age-related wear and patination consistent with its vintage character. Operational condition should be independently checked before use.
