An elegant British Art Deco table lamp dating to the 1920s, combining silver-plated metalwork with a substantial white opaline glass shade. The lamp has a distinctive architectural form inspired by early 20th-century street and architectural lighting. Its silver-plated structure provides a refined contrast to the softly diffusing opaline glass, creating a particularly attractive appearance both illuminated and unlit. The generously proportioned shade displays the clean geometric character associated with the Art Deco period, while the metal structure has acquired subtle surface character and patination consistent with its age. The lamp incorporates period Bakelite components and an E27 screw-fit bulb holder. At 47 cm high, this is a substantial decorative lamp suitable for use on a console, desk, side table or as an atmospheric accent within an Art Deco or period interior.
