The substantial chimneypiece is finely crafted from white statuary marble, with its architectural proportions and restrained carved detailing creating an elegant and timeless appearance. Slender yellow Siena marble inserts provide a particularly attractive contrast against the crisp white stone, adding warmth and refinement to the composition. The fireplace has been fully professionally cleaned, revealing the natural character, subtle veining and luminosity of the marble. Its classical proportions make it equally suitable for a Georgian or Victorian interior, while the simplicity of the design allows it to work beautifully within more contemporary architectural settings. A substantial and highly decorative architectural feature, ideal for creating an impressive focal point within a drawing room, reception room, library or period property. Presented in excellent decorative condition following professional cleaning, with age-related characteristics consistent with a period marble chimneypiece. The sale is for the marble fireplace surround only. 1280mm total height 1850mm mantel width x 360mm depth 1640mm width at feet (955mm opening height x 1000mm opening width) See less
