A refined British cut-glass spirit decanter by James Dixon & Sons, dating to 2001 and distinguished by a hallmarked sterling silver mount. Combining traditional British silver craftsmanship with a clean, understated glass form, the decanter is an elegant addition to a drinks cabinet or bar collection. ㅤ The substantial clear glass body is formed with restrained proportions, rising from a broad square base to a circular neck. Its deliberately simple treatment allows the clarity and weight of the glass to provide the principal visual character. ㅤ The neck is finished with a circular sterling silver mount featuring an elegant flared rim. The highly polished silver creates a sophisticated contrast against the transparent glass while providing a subtle precious-metal accent to the otherwise minimalist design. ㅤ A fitted stopper completes the decanter and sits securely within the neck, maintaining the clean silhouette while providing practical storage for wines, liqueurs and spirits. ㅤ with a capacity of approximately 760 millilitres, the decanter is generously proportioned for practical use. Its substantial gross weight of 1.712 kg gives the piece a particularly pleasing sense of quality and stability. ㅤ The decanter remains in excellent presentation condition, with no notable damage, chips or clouding to the glass and no holes or repairs to the silver. The surfaces remain free from later presentation inscriptions or monograms and the piece appears to have seen little, if any, use. ㅤ An elegant example of contemporary British luxury barware, combining the heritage of James Dixon & Sons with sterling silver and substantial clear glass craftsmanship.
