The impressive shade is formed from heavy opaque opaline milk glass, moulded with pronounced vertical ribbing and architectural detailing culminating in a softly domed centre. When illuminated, the opaline glass diffuses the light evenly, producing a warm atmospheric glow while emphasising the sculptural relief of the glass. Above the shade is an original two-part chrome-plated “monk cap” gallery, complete with its ventilated construction, internal fittings and locking mechanism. A chrome-plated central column provides height adjustment and terminates in a stylised period ceiling plate with decorative locking details. The combination of brilliant chrome and white opaline glass gives the fixture a particularly clean architectural appearance, making it equally suitable for an art deco interior or as a statement element within a contemporary scheme. Ideal for an entrance hall, dining room, kitchen, bedroom or commercial interior. Professionally rewired with three-core cable, earthed and tested, and retaining its period b22 brass bayonet bulb holder. Material opaline milk glass, chrome-plated metal and brass measurements displayed in photos.
