The traditional fall-front opens to form a useful writing surface and reveals a wonderfully fitted interior arranged with a series of small drawers and compartments. This thoughtfully designed interior provides convenient storage for correspondence, stationery and smaller personal items while retaining the charm and functionality associated with traditional bureau furniture. Below the writing section are three spacious drawers, providing substantial additional storage. Each retains its original decorative brass handles, which contrast beautifully with the warm tones of the golden oak and contribute to the authentic period character of the piece. The bureau is raised upon traditional bracket feet, giving the piece a well-balanced and classically influenced silhouette.
