The celebrated 6.75-litre v8 represents one of britain's most enduring luxury-car engine designs, with its lineage extending from 1959 through to the final bentley mulsanne produced in 2020. This particular engine block relates to the period when bentley and rolls-royce shared engineering and mechanical components, giving the piece an especially appealing connection to british motoring history. The exposed v8 block forms the sculptural centrepiece of the table, allowing its cylinder bores, machined surfaces and complex cast architecture to remain clearly visible beneath the glass. Rather than concealing its mechanical origins, the design celebrates the engine as an object of industrial craftsmanship in its own right. Each engine undergoes extensive preparation, including complete chemical cleaning before receiving a high-quality chrome-effect powder-coated finish. The resulting reflective surface accentuates the intricate geometry of the engine and creates a sophisticated showroom-quality appearance. A substantial clear glass tabletop is elevated above the engine using a secure removable mounting system. Two configurations are available: the glass can be supported using the engine pistons themselves, or specially machined supports can be positioned through the centre of the block. Both arrangements securely support the glass while allowing it to be removed when required for cleaning, transportation or storage. Integrated led illumination further enhances the sculptural quality of the engine, highlighting its internal architecture and producing a particularly dramatic effect in lower-light environments. Protective feet provide a stable foundation while helping to protect the surrounding floor surface. The table is supplied complete with its glass tabletop, integrated led lighting, protective feet and secure removable glass mounting system. A remarkable fusion of historic british engineering and contemporary industrial furniture design, this is both a functional coffee table and a dramatic piece of automotive sculpture. An outstanding centrepiece for a luxury residence, private automotive collection, showroom, office, home bar or dedicated motoring interior, and particularly appealing to collectors and enthusiasts of bentley and rolls-royce automobiles. please see our other items listed for sale.
