The hand-made glass shade takes a striking segmented, acorn-shaped form with strong skyscraper-inspired geometric lines characteristic of the art deco period. Its frosted surface softly diffuses the light, creating a warm atmospheric illumination while emphasizing the sculptural stepped profile. The shade is mounted within an original bronze gallery in the manner of w.a.s. Benson, featuring a decorative grab ring and original locking bolts. The fixture retains its internal bronze fittings and original b22 bayonet-fit bulb holder. An original bronze hanging chain connects the gallery to a matching bronze ceiling rose, completing the rich period appearance of the fixture. The light has been professionally serviced and rewired with period-appropriate three-core fabric-braided cable, earthed and tested. Period: 1920s style: art deco design influence: w.a.s.
