A fine antique sterling silver three-piece cruet set, designed in the elegant Georgian style and comprising a mustard pot, salt cellar and pepperette. Each piece is fashioned in a graceful baluster form with traditional corded borders and raised upon naturalistically modelled hoof feet. Although assembled from different dates and makers, the pieces form an attractive and harmonious table service. The mustard pot is hallmarked London 1932 and bears the maker’s mark for Nayler Brothers. The pepperette is hallmarked London 1938, while the salt cellar is hallmarked London 1945, both by Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co. Ltd. The set is accompanied by two sterling silver condiment spoons, one hallmarked London 1892 and the other Sheffield 1933. Particularly appealing is the survival of the original Bristol blue glass liners, which remain undamaged. Their rich blue colour provides a striking contrast against the polished sterling silver. The covers to both the mustard pot and pepperette remain secure and functional. The set has a substantial combined net silver weight of approximately 348.5 grams and a combined gross weight of approximately 476 grams. All components are presented in very good antique condition. There are no noted holes, chips, damage or repairs, and the pieces remain free from later engraved presentation inscriptions or monograms. Very clean and ready for use or display.
