The large acorn-shaped shade is crafted from frosted glass and decorated with hand-cut geometric lattice detailing. Further cut decoration extends towards the pointed base, culminating in a striking starburst motif that gives the shade an especially attractive appearance when illuminated. The glass is secured within its original substantial brass gallery with locking bolts and an original bronze b22 bayonet-fit bulb holder. Above sits a decorative bronzed-brass gallery cap with an ornamental grab ring, suspended from an original bronze link chain and matching brass ceiling rose. The combination of frosted cut glass, aged brass and sculptural acorn form gives the piece a sophisticated period character, making it particularly suitable for an entrance hall, dining room, bedroom or other interior requiring a distinctive vintage pendant. The fixture has been wired with heavy three-core cable, earthed and tested, and is in working order.
