Combining classical mythology with elegant figurative sculpture, the piece creates an impressive focal point for a garden, swimming pool, pond, lake or coastal-inspired interior. Cast in genuine bronze using the traditional lost-wax method, the mermaid features finely rendered facial features, flowing hair and a beautifully textured scaled tail. Contrasting areas of aged blue-green verdigris patination across the tail and shell complement the warmer bronze tones of the figure, giving the sculpture depth and an attractive naturally aged appearance. Designed to function as a water feature, a concealed copper pipe feeds the conch shell, allowing water to flow from the sculpture when connected to a suitable pump and water supply. Equally impressive without water, it can be displayed purely as a substantial decorative bronze sculpture. with its generous proportions and weight of approximately 27.5 kg, this is a substantial statement piece combining sculptural artistry with functional garden design. Material: Lost-wax cast bronze with aged verdigris patina and copper water pipe Measurements: Height: 90 cm Width: 80 cm Depth: 50 cm See less
