The fixture is centred … Read more An impressive early 20th-century three-light pendant combining Arts & Crafts construction with elegant Art Nouveau-inspired detailing. The fixture is centred around a large hand-moulded, tinted silk glass shade of broad conical form. Surrounding the glass is a substantial wrought-iron structural carrier, beautifully worked with three sweeping side arms incorporating characteristic scrolling Art Nouveau motifs. Within the shade sits a three-light assembly with original bronze and brass B22 bayonet-fit bulb holders. The decorative globular loom chamber features an ornamental bronze waistband and lower finial, while a reeded brass central column rises above to a three-arm suspension frame with double cable locks. The pendant retains its original interlocking bronze suspension chains and a staged three-arm ceiling rose with original grab hooks. The combination of warm tinted glass, aged metalwork and sculptural iron detailing gives the piece considerable architectural presence. The fixture has been professionally serviced and rewired with period-appropriate three-core fabric-braided cable, earthed and tested.
