Traditionally hot cast in genuine bronze using the lost-wax method, the sculpture has been polished to create a rich golden-bronze finish that accentuates the modelling and gives the piece a particularly decorative presence. Fine detailing throughout the face, paws and coat adds character and realism to the composition. Described as a one-of-one piece, this substantial Dachshund makes an appealing decorative sculpture for a console, desk, library or collection and would be particularly attractive to collectors and admirers of the breed.
