The ring features five individually claw-set diamonds, graduating elegantly in size from the central stone towards the shoulders. The largest central diamond measures approximately 3.8 mm and is estimated at 0.20 carat, flanked by two approximately 3 mm diamonds estimated at 0.10 carat each and two smaller approximately 2.4 mm diamonds estimated at 0.05 carat each. Together, the five diamonds have an estimated total weight of approximately **0.50 carat**. The stones are described as clear and fiery, displaying the distinctive brilliance and individual character associated with antique old mine cuts, with no obvious carbon marks or inclusions noted. The warm 18ct yellow gold provides an attractive contrast to the diamonds and retains full birmingham hallmarks for 1894, firmly establishing the ring's late victorian origin. The ring has a **gross weight of approximately 3.6 grams**, giving it a pleasing and substantial feel while remaining elegant and comfortable for wear. Presented in very good antique condition with no noted damage or repairs. The ring has been cleaned and is ready to wear or display. A beautiful example of late 19th-century english jewellery, combining traditional victorian craftsmanship, richly toned 18ct gold and approximately half a carat of characterful old mine cut diamonds.
