A handsome English Edwardian Arts & Crafts table lamp dating to circa 1910, combining an architectural Corinthian-inspired bronze column with a decorative tinted glass acorn-form shade.
The lamp is designed around a finely proportioned classical Corinthian-style column, giving the piece an elegant architectural quality characteristic of late Victorian and Edwardian decorative lighting.
The bronze has developed an attractive aged patina, enhancing the relief and detailing of the metalwork while preserving its period character.
Above sits a distinctive hand-moulded tinted glass shade in an acorn-inspired form, providing an attractive contrast to the darker bronze structure.
When illuminated, the coloured glass produces a warm atmospheric glow, making the lamp particularly effective as accent lighting.
The combination of Classical Revival architecture with Arts & Crafts detailing makes this a versatile decorative piece for a library, study, console, side table or traditional interior.
The lamp retains a B22 bayonet-fit bulb holder and is presented in attractive period condition with natural ageing and patination.
