The detailed body, musculature and textured surface give the piece a convincing sculptural presence, making it particularly striking when positioned within a landscaped garden or estate setting. Substantial in scale and constructed from cast iron, this stag is designed as a statement piece for gardens, lawns, country houses, hotel grounds, parkland, entranceways or large courtyards. Its traditional dark finish complements both formal and naturalistic landscapes and will continue to develop character when exposed to the elements. This is a contemporary production piece. As an outdoor cast iron sculpture, variations to the finish, minor surface marks, scuffs and areas of oxidation or rust may be present and form part of its rustic character.
