Behind the writing surface is a thoughtfully arranged fitted interior incorporating multiple pigeonholes and small drawers, providing convenient organisation for correspondence, stationery and personal items. The lower section comprises four generously proportioned drawers, offering substantial concealed storage while maintaining the bureau's beautifully balanced proportions. The drawers retain their original brass handles, complementing the rich colour of the oak, and the bureau is complete with its key.
